COVID-19 Statement

COVID-19 Statement

UPDATE - 3/13/2020

Dear Tekko Faithful,

We want to thank everyone who has reached out to us to express their support in the past few days. The Board of Directors has been meeting multiple times a day to discuss developments as they occur. We want to be transparent about the various elements which are affecting our decision-making process in the COVID-19 situation in our region.

In our most recent communications, the Allegheny County Health Department, the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, and the Office of the Mayor of Pittsburgh have all advised that our event does not need to be canceled as it falls outside of the large gathering restrictions set in place until March 27. However, as of 5:30 PM on March 13, the Mayor of Pittsburgh has declared a state of emergency in the city. Since this announcement was made after business hours on Friday, we are waiting on responses from our partners in the city to see how this may affect our obligations to hold the event in early April.

Our priority remains ensuring the health and safety of our entire community. We understand that many people will have questions about the impact of this situation and we do not have all the answers at this time. We kindly ask for your patience as we continue to gather more information and determine the best path forward for our community. Please anticipate more information on Monday.

Thank you,

PittJCS Board of Directors

UPDATE - 3/12/2020

We recognize that the Governor of Pennsylvania made a statement that impacts Western PA earlier this afternoon. We are waiting on information from the Allegheny County Health Department and the Office of the Mayor of Pittsburgh to provide further guidance at this time.

Thank you,

PittJCS Board of Directors
